Ashlyn Krueger vs Ann Li prediction

Ashlyn Krueger booked her place in the next stage of the China Open after comfortable win over former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin. Krueger was beaten by Kenin earlier this season in Madrid, but she exacted revenge with a 6-3 6-3 victory. She won 81% of her first serve points as she sealed the win after one hour and 14 minutes. Krueger advanced to the round-of-16 at Wimbledon earlier this season.

Her next opponent is Ann Li. The 26-year-old has not featured since the US Open. She won her first two matches against Antonia Ruzic and Donna Vekic, before a three set defeat to Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova. Li has reached two semi-finals this season, in Strasbourg and Monterrey. She is seeded for this event and received a bye in round one.

Krueger already has a match under her belt in Beijing and is up to speed with the conditions, but LI has the more established record and is very competitive on this surface.
