Aryna Sabalenka vs Moyuka Uchijima prediction
Aryna Sabalenka has not featured on the tour since her round-of-16 loss at Wimbledon to Naomi Osaka. The world number one began the season strongly, with titles in Brisbane, Miami and Indian Wells, along with a fourth straight final appearance at the Australian Open. However, she was unable to carry that form into her clay and grass court campaigns. Sabalenka has never got past the quarter-final stage at this tournament.
She received a bye in round one and now faces Moyuka Uchijima. The Japanese player picked up her first WTA 1000 victory of the season as Cristina Bucsa suffered yet another defeat. Uchijima was 4-1 down in the second set to the Spaniard, but reeled off the final five games to win 6-3 6-4.
Sabalenka leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a comfortable win at Roland Garros two years ago. The world number one should be able to dominate from the start here.
