Aryna Sabalenka vs Karolina Muchova prediction

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Madison Keys in a rematch of last year’s Australian Open final to advance to the semi-finals of the Brisbane International. The world number one was largely untroubled in her quarter-final match, winning 6-3 6-3. She has not dropped a set, and the defending champion has conceded just 13 games across the three matches she has played so far.

She will go up against Karolina Muchova in the next round after the Czech beat world number five Elena Rybakina in three sets. Rybakina was on a 13-match winning streak stretching back to last season, but Muchova’s variety and overall quality proved too much in the end, with the 29-year-old winning 6-2 2-6 6-4.

Muchova leads the head-to-head 3-1 and has won the last three meetings. She seems to cause problems for the Belarussian with her versatility and will head into this semi-final with plenty of confidence after her win over Rybakina. This is likely to be Sabalenka’s biggest test so far in Brisbane, but she is performing well and should have enough to win.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Karolina Muchova tip: Aryna Sabalenka to win 2-1
