Aryna Sabalenka vs Jessica Pegula Prediction

We have a blockbuster of a final in Miami as top seed Aryna Sabalenka takes on fourth-seed Jessica Pegula in what promises to be a fantastic final.

Sabalenka is a woman on a mission after being beaten in the final of Indian Wells by Mirra Andreeva. She is fired up and desperate to get back to winning ways having not enjoyed being beaten in such a high-profile final. There has been no complacency in Miami, no slow starts, just relentless ruthlessness as she has beaten all five opponents without dropping a set.

She now takes on Pegula in the final who has been impressive en route to the final but arguably not as dominant and not totally at her best. She had to graft through her last two matches against Emma Raducanu and Alexandra Eala in three-sets each and while she may not have been firing on all cylinders, she showed the usual high-levels of determination as she always does.

The pair have met eight times before and it is Sabalenka who has had the clear edge winning six of those meetings. She won both of their matches last year and she comes into this final playing the better tennis. We cannot see anything other than a Sabalenka win here and after losing in the Indian Wells final, she will not allow the same fate to happen at two big finals in succession.
