Aryna Sabalenka vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro Prediction

Aryna Sabalenka was largely untroubled in her first-round match against Sloane Stephens as she won 6-3 6-2 and that win will have given her good confidence ahead of this match.

She created 13 break points and took five of them, while her win percentages on both first and second serve was healthy.

She will look to maintain that level against Spanish 22-year-old Jessica Bouzas Maneiro who picked up a straight-sets win of her own in the first round.

Bouzas Maneiro overcame Britain’s Sonay Kartal 6-1 7-6 and her all-round game was strong. She was efficient with the break points she created taking five of the seven but she will know she has to go up another level or two to compete against Sabalenka.

The pair have never met before so it will be interesting to see if Bouzas Maneiro can cause Sabalenka some issues. It is hard to see anything other than the world number one winning and likely in straight sets once again.
