Arthur Rinderknech vs Alexis Galarneau prediction
Arthur Rinderknech heads into the Canadian Open on the back of his best result of the season as he made the semi-finals in Kitzbuhel. He now makes the transition from clay back to hard courts, and will hope for an improvement after losing his last five matches on the surface earlier in the year.
He faces Alexsi Galarneau in round one. The Canadian was handed a wildcard and competes in his first ATP main draw match of the season. He does have four semi-final appearances on the Challenger Tour, but the world number 193 has failed to pick up a title or reach a final in 2025.
Galarneau does mostly compete on hard courts however and has 20 victories on the surface this season. Rinderknech should still be confident of a victory, especially after some strong performances over the last month, like his win over world number three Alexander Zverev at Wimbledon and a last eight finish at Queen's Club. He will be a firm favourite to make it through.
