Arthur Fils vs Botic van de Zandschulp prediction

Arthur Fils enjoyed a straight sets victory over Pavel Kotov in his opening match at the Shanghai Masters. The Frenchman was not broken on serve and won the first three games of the encounter, completing a 6-3 6-4 victory after just an hour and 16 minutes. Fils is seeking a second Masters 1000 title of his career, following success at this year’s Cincinnati Open.

He will face Botic van de Zandschulp next. The Dutchman pulled off another impressive win after beating Alex Michelsen in straight sets. Van de Zandschulp saved all five break point opportunities that he offered up and crucially broke Michelsen’s serve for the second time in the ninth game of set two, serving it out to win 6-4 6-4. He advanced to the quarter-finals of the US Open last month.

Van de Zandschulp can be a dangerous opponent for higher-ranked players, but Fils has been one of the most consistent players in this format throughout 2026.
