Arthur Fery vs Toby Samuel prediction
Arthur Fery was unable to qualify for the French Open, but he did begin his grass court season with three straight wins in Birmingham on the Challenger Tour. Fery, who defeated Alexei Popyrin in the first-round of Wimbledon last year, got past Tristan Schoolkate, Alex Bolt and Rinky Hijikata to advance to the semi-finals, where he lost to Yunchaokete Bu. That was his joint best result of the season so far.
He will face fellow Brit Toby Samuel for a place in the round-of-16. Samuel did make his maiden appearance at a Grand Slam in Paris last month, losing in round one to Alex de Minaur in straight sets. He competed in Ilkley last week, winning two matches before a loss to Dane Sweeny in the quarter-finals.
There is little to separate the two players in terms of their recent record and current standing in the game, with Fery ranked just four places above Samuel.
