Arthur Fery vs Francisco Cerundolo prediction
Arthur Fery pulled off an upset in the round-of-16 as he beat Adrian Mannarino in straight sets to reach his first quarter-final on the ATP Tour. The Brit made a great start as he went 3-0 up, but Mannarino fought back to take the set to a tiebreak. Nevertheless, Fery would go in front and went on to break the Frenchman in the ninth game of the second set as he won 7-6 (7) 6-4.
He will now face Francisco Cerundolo for a place in the semi-finals. The Argentine was ruthless in his previous match as he beat Jenson Brooksby 6-0 6-4. Brooksby had ended a nine-match losing run in the first-round, but he could not get going here as Cerundolo built a lead from the start and maintained his level.
Fery has impressed so far this week, but Cerundolo is likely to be a bigger step up in terms of opposition.
