Arthur Fery vs Alexander Zverev prediction

Arthur Fery became the first wildcard in 25 years to reach the semi-finals of Wimbledon after he demolished Flavio Cobolli in front of a jubilant Centre Court. Fery, who is set to become the next British number one, forced numerous errors from Cobolli throughout and raced clear in the third set to win 6-4 7-6 (4) 6-0.

He will now face world number three Alexander Zverev for a place in the final. The Roland Garros champion extended his winning streak at Grand Slams to 12 matches as he produced a brilliant display to beat Taylor Fritz in straight sets. Fritz had won their last seven meetings, but the American struggled from the start as Zverev won 6-4 6-4 6-2. Zverev had never advanced beyond the round-of-16 at SW19 prior to this event, but he is now two matches away from completing the Channel Slam.

The Centre Court crowd will do everything to inspire Fery, but Zverev has been remarkably consistent over the last few months, and his improved mental strength should ultimately prove decisive.

Arthur Fery vs Alexander Zverev tip: Under 38.5 games
