Antonia Ruzic vs Marie Bouzkova prediction

Antonia Ruzic got through to the quarter-finals of the Monterrey Open after beating Elisabetta Cocciaretto in three sets. Ruzic went a break down in the first set but got back on level terms and took the set on a tiebreak. Cocciaretto dominated the second to send the match into a decider, which Ruzic completely dominated as she won 7-6 2-6 6-0.

She will now go up against Marie Bouzkova after she defeated out-of-form Beatriz Haddad Maia in straight sets. The Czech was always in control but was also clutch when it came to saving break point opportunities, with the Brazilian failing to convert seven out of eight presented to her. Bouzkova won 77% of her first serve points and is into her fourth quarter-final of the season.

Bouzkova is in fabulous form overall, with nine wins from her last 10 matches, and she'll be expected to also come through this one against an opponent over 30 places lower in the world rankings.
