Anna Kalinskaya vs Emma Navarro prediction

Anna Kalinskaya progressed to the round-of-16 at the US Open for the first time in her career after she defeated Elina Svitolina. There were 13 breaks of serve during the match, with Kalinskaya finding her level towards the end of the deciding set, winning 6-3 2-6 6-3. She beat Anna Blinkova in the opening round and then got past Xinyu Wang.

She will face Emma Navarro for a place in the last eight. Navarro produced her best display of the tournament so far as she got past two-time Grand Slam finalist Karolina Muchova in straight sets. Muchova had dropped just one game in her second-round match against Katie Boulter, but she had no answers against Navarro, with the 2024 semi-finalist winning 6-3 7-5.

Kalinskaya won their only previous meeting, beating Navarro in three sets at the Qatar Open in February. Her ability to take the ball early can trouble Navarro, but the American’s defence and consistency were excellent against Muchova.
