Anna Bondar suffered a disappointing early exit in Warsaw as she lost in the second-round of the 125k event despite being the top seed. That did follow a strong showing in Hamburg as she won four matches in total before a loss in the final to French Open semi-finalist Lois Boisson, though that was on a clay court.
She plays Ajla Tomljanovic in the first-round of Cincinnati. The Australian is without a main draw win on the tour since the first-round of the French Open and is on a three match losing streak. Tomljanovic is now only just inside the top 100 of the world rankings and is not the force she once was.
