Anna Blinkova vs Ekaterina Alexandrova prediction
Anna Blinkova produced a strong performance to defeat Katerina Siniakova 6-3 6-1 and get her grass court campaign off to a winning start. She suffered a first-round exit in the competition last year but was always in control of this one. She now takes on Ekaterina Alexandrova as she eyes a place in the last eight.
Alexandrova began her quest for a third title in Rosmalen with a straight sets win over Mariam Bolkvadze. The second seed didn’t have things all her own way as she was broken on three occasions but still defeated the Georgian qualifier 6-4 6-3.
They are yet to compete on the main tour against each other and haven’t played a match since 2018, when Blinkova beat Alexandrova in qualifying for the Qatar Open. It’s still hard to look past Alexandrova as she is higher ranked, coming off the back of an encouraging French Open where she made the fourth-round and is a two-time winner of the tournament.
