Ann Li maintained her fine form as she fought back to see off Taylah Preston in Nottingham.
The American fifth seed dug deep to see off the 20-year-old Aussie by a 5-7 6-2 6-2 scoreline.
The world number 29 will now face Viktorija Golubic for a place in the semi-finals after the Swiss edged Zeynep Sonmez by a 7-5 4-6 6-4 scoreline.
This will be their third meeting with honours even at one apiece, although Li did win on grass at Wimbledon last year.
That went three and it could do again here with Li’s excellent 2026 form making her our pick to go deeper in the draw.
