Ann Li vs Viktorija Golubic prediction
Ann Li competed in the Libema Open to start her grass court season but lost in the second-round after being on the end of two tiebreaks against Suzan Lamens. She withdrew from the German Open qualifiers before losing in the first-round of the Eastbourne International to Emma Raducanu. Li was a set and a break up against the British number one but her level dropped, and she fell away. She has not won a match at the All England Club since making the second-round in 2022.
Viktorija Golubic has mostly competed on the Challenger Tour ahead of Wimbledon. Her best run took place at Ilkley as she made the semi-final as the second seed. Despite taking the first set against Varvara Gracheva, she lost in the second stage of qualifying for the Eastbourne International.
Golubic did make the quarter-finals of Wimbledon four years ago and will pose a threat to Li in this first-round match. We expect this one to go deep into a third set.
