Andrey Rublev vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry prediction
Andrey Rublev began his grass court season in strong fashion as he defeated qualifier Sebastian Ofner 6-3 6-4. The Austrian’s form had been on an upwards trajectory in recent weeks but he was no match for Rublev, with Ofner not even being able to fashion a break point during the entire match.
The Russian’s next opponent is Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The Argentine picked up his first non-Wimbledon grass court win in his career after defeating Pedro Martinez 6-1 6-3. It was a completely dominant display from Etcheverry, who created 12 break point opportunities in total.
They have played once before, in the second-round of the Canadian Open last year, with Rublev defeating Etcheverry 7-6 6-2 on his way to making the final. The Russian has made a fine start to the event and has already shown how dangerous he can be in Halle with two previous appearances to the final. He’s good value to win this one comfortably.
