Andrey Rublev vs Hubert Hurkacz prediction
Andrey Rublev was unable to make a third quarter-final at Roland Garros as he lost to Jakub Mensik in the round-of-16. Rublev fought back from two sets to love down, forcing a decider, but Mensik would win in five. The Russian has six wins from his last eight matches, as he also progressed to the quarter-finals of the Italian Open last month. Rublev has reached the final of this event on two previous occasions, in 2021 and 2023.
He faces Hubert Hurkacz. The Pole began his grass court season at the Libema Open but he lost his opening match to Marton Fucsovics, despite going in front after the first set. Hurkacz is also a two-time finalist in Halle, winning the tournament in 2022 and losing in the 2024 final to Jannik Sinner.
Hurkacz will be competitive with his strong first serve on this fast surface, and Rublev will need to be ready from the start here.
