Flavio Cobolli will have his eyes on a second title on clay in 2025 when he meets former champion Andrey Rublev in the final in Hamburg.

The Italian, who lifted the trophy in Bucharest last month, saw off Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-2 5-7 6-4 in the semi-final to tee up a first career encounter with the Russian third seed.

Rublev is into the Hamburg final for the third time after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1 6-4 and he will be the favourite to secure the title for the second time at the tournament.

The Russian’s forehand has been firing all week long and although Cobolli is set to achieve a new career high by breaking beyond the top 30 for the first time, Rublev’s greater experience and firepower should be telling when it comes to the crunch.
