Carlos Alcaraz found another gear as he saw off Luca Nardi to reach the last eight in Cincinnati. 

The Spaniard produced what he regards as his best display of the tournament to ease to a 6-1 6-4 victory over the lucky loser.

Alcaraz will now battle Andrey Rublev for the fifth time just weeks on from his four-set victory over the Russian at Wimbledon. 

The world number leads the head-to-head 3-1 and although Rublev, who comfortably defeated Francisco Comesana 6-2 6-3, has some weapons that can hurt the five-time major winner, you can expect Alcaraz to come through when it matters most.
