Anastasia Zakharova vs Madison Keys prediction

Anastasia Zakharova sprung a surprise on the first day of Queen’s Club as she defeated last year’s Wimbledon semi-finalist Donna Vekic 6-3 6-3 to make the next stage of the competition. The Russian was always in control of the contest, not losing her serve and winning 84% of her first serve points. She is set to enter the top 100 of the world rankings for the first time regardless of how she fares for the rest of the tournament.

She now takes on Madison Keys in the round-of-16. Keys received a bye in the first-round as the second seed. It was an encouraging performance from the American at the French Open as she reached the quarter-finals and took the first set against Coco Gauff in their last eight clash. Nevertheless, Gauff would go on to win in three sets en route to winning the title.

Keys has picked up three grass court titles in her career and will hope to continue her strong season on the surface. She’s good value to get off to a comfortable start against Zakharova.
