Anastasia Zakharova vs Ashlyn Krueger prediction

Anastasia Zakharova came from a set down to beat Mary Stoiana and get through to the next round of the ATX Open. The Russian was broken in her first service game as Stoiana opened up a 3-0 lead and went ahead after the first set. Zakharova improved her level in the second and despite falling 3-1 behind in the decider, she won five of the next six games to seal a 3-6 6-2 6-4 win.

She now faces Ashlyn Krueger after the American beat Caty McNally in her first-round match. Krueger did not drop her serve and only conceded the one break point as she won 6-1 7-6 (5) after one hour and 42 minutes. The 21-year-old had the chance to make the result more comfortable but only converted two out of 10 break point opportunities.

That victory ended a three-match losing run for Krueger and she will be difficult to stop if she replicates that assured and confident display against Zakharova.
