Anastasia Potapova vs Leolia Jeanjean prediction

Anastasia Potapova safely booked her place into the next round of the US Open after a straight sets win over Darja Semenistaja. Potapova did have to save eight out of nine break point opportunities, but she consistently created chances, winning 6-2 6-2 after one hour and 15 minutes. She also fired 10 aces on her way to victory. This performance was particularly welcome after a difficult North American swing, in which Potapova lost 6-1 6-1 to Elina Svitolina in Toronto and 6-2 6-4 to Sloane Stephens in Cincinnati. 

Her next opponent is Leolia Jeanjean. The Frenchwoman picked up her first ever win at the US Open after a win over Aranxta Rus. Jeanjean edged a tight first set and opened up a lead in the second, winning 7-6 (6) 6-2. 

Jeanjean can disrupt Potapova’s rhythm, but the Austrian possesses substantially greater weight of shot and should be able to dictate if she serves efficiently.
