Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova vs Viktoriya Tomova prediction

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova competes in her first grass court match of the season in the first-round of the Eastbourne International. She last played at the French Open, where she suffered an early exit. The Russian has struggled for form ever since making the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in January and will hope for an upturn in fortunes here.

She goes up against Viktoriya Tomova in round one. Tomova is another player who has not enjoyed a strong campaign. She has already competed in two events on grass, but lost in the first-round of the Libema Open to Elise Mertens and at the same stage in the German Open to Katerina Siniakova, though she did win her two qualifying matches in the latter event.

This will be their first match on grass but they did play against each other for the first time earlier this year, with Tomova defeating Pavlyuchenkova in three sets in the qualifying stage of the Linz Open.

There is no strong favourite for this one considering both are in poor form, and we expect it to go the distance.
