Amanda Anisimova vs Tatjana Maria prediction

Amanda Anisimova defeated Qinwen Zheng in three sets to reach the final of Queen’s. It looked to be running smoothly for the eighth seed as she went a set and a break up but Zheng recovered to force a decider. A topsy-turvy third set went the way of the American, who can now pick up a second title of the season after winning the Qatar Open in the middle of February.

She will face Tatjana Maria after the German continued her incredible run at the tournament, defeating another Grand Slam champion in the form of Madison Keys. The 37-year-old became the oldest woman to reach a WTA 500 final after beating Keys 6-3 7-6. She was on a nine-match losing streak heading into the event but she has now won six matches in a row including qualifying.

Maria has always been effective on the grass, having made the semi-finals of Wimbledon in 2022 and picked up a title on the surface in Mallorca seven years ago. This will be their first match on the main tour but they have played once before in the first-round of qualifying in Beijing in 2018, with Maria coming out on top.

Despite Anisimova being far higher ranked, Maria has played inspired tennis all week and beaten a number of strong players. We predict a close one.

Amanda Anisimova vs Tatjana Maria tip: Over 2.5 sets
