Amanda Anisimova vs Sofia Kenin prediction
Amanda Anisimova reached her second semi-final of the season with a hard-fought 7-5 7-6 (1) win over fourth seed Emma Navarro. A topsy-turvy match saw both players trade serves 13 times in total, but the eighth seed held her nerve at the most pressurised moments to book a place in the last four.
She will now face Sofia Kenin, who continued her brilliant run at the event with a 6-4 6-3 win over Anna Kalinskaya, only giving up two break points during the whole match. The former French Open finalist won 81% of points on her first serve and hasn’t dropped a set during the tournament so far.
She has defeated three seeded players in a row, after previous wins against Daria Kasatkina and Belinda Bencic, and has looked mostly untroubled in all of them. The head-to-head is 1-1, but both matches were played all the way back in 2017 on hard court.
Kenin has started the clay court season in fantastic form, and despite being the lower ranked of the two players, we’re backing her to reach the final.
