Amanda Anisimova vs Liudmila Samsonova prediction

Amanda Anisimova’s strong run on grass continues after the American beat Magdalena Frech 6-2 4-6 6-3 to reach the last eight in Berlin.

The world number 13 has carried on from her run to the final in Queens and will now meet Liudmila Samsonova. 

The Russian once again demonstrated her prowess on grass with a 6-7 7-5 7-6 victory over third seed Jessica Pegula. 

Anisimova leads the head-to-head 2-1 but Samsonova did win their most recent clash at the French Open last year.

The American has the power and although the Russian does enjoy this surface, the match-up favours the higher ranked player and we expect Anisimova to come out on top.
