Amanda Anisimova vs Jessica Pegula prediction
Amanda Anisimova reached her fourth quarter-final of the season and her first since June as she defeated Linda Noskova in straight sets. The two-time Grand Slam finalist produced a brilliant performance as she did not even concede a break point on her way to winning 6-1 6-4.
Jessica Pegula will be her next opponent after the world number three beat Sorana Cirstea. Pegula won the first set and was just two games away from a comfortable win as she opened up a 4-2 lead in the second. However, Cirstea would reel off the next four games to level up the match. Pegula was broken when serving for the match at 5-4 but succeeded at the second attempt to record a 6-2 4-6 7-5 win.
Pegula dominates the head-to-head as she leads 5-0 and 4-0 on outdoor hard court. They have faced each other on two previous occasions this year, at the Australian Open and in Dubai. Anisimova has been the more convincing player so far at the event, but she struggles against the consistency of Pegula.
