Alycia Parks vs Petra Marcinko prediction

World number 89 Alycia Parks heads to Monterrey on the back of a first round exit to Viktorija Golubic at the Cincinnati Open earlier this month. Her hard court season began reasonably well in Athens but has since tailed off in Prague and Toronto before Cincinnati.

Petra Marcinko also succumbed to Swiss opposition, Simone Waltert, in the first round at Cincinnati. That was her first outing, due to injury, since reaching the third round in Iasi in Romania ahead of a defeat to Tamara Zidansek.

Alycia Parks is seeking to regain some form ahead of the US Open and she may well be the better bet here but it is unlikely to be a straightforward win for either her or Marcinko.
