Alexei Popyrin vs Sebastian Korda prediction

Alexei Popyrin will compete in his first event for six weeks at the Stockholm Open. He has not featured since his second-round loss to four-time major champion Jannik Sinner at the US Open. His North American swing was still encouraging as he got through to the quarter-finals of the Canadian Open. However, his failure to fully defend points as the defending champion has led to the Australian dropping to 40 in the world. 

Sebastian Korda continued his recovery from injury as he competed in three tournaments as part of his Asian swing. It did not get off to a particularly fine start in Hangzhou as he lost to Yibing Wu in the second-round, though Tokyo was more encouraging as he made the last eight, where he lost to compatriot Taylor Fritz. He would then taste defeat in round one of Shanghai to Zizou Bergs.

The head-to-head is 1-1 on the ATP Tour, with Korda winning their only indoor hard court match against each other in Astana two years ago. This is difficult to call, as Korda has experienced up and down results since his return, while Popyrin has not featured since late August.
