Alexei Popyrin vs Quentin Halys prediction
Alexei Popyrin experienced a slump in the world rankings during last season, and he ended the campaign with five straight losses. He was unable to defend his Canadian Open title, though he still got through to the last eight, while he also managed to do the same in Monte-Carlo. He also broke new ground at Roland Garros, making the round-of-16 for the first time.
He faces Quentin Halys in the first-round. Halys qualified for the event, coming from a set down to beat Kamil Majchrzak in the final qualifying round. It was a poor 2025 for the Frenchman, as he failed to produce any meaningful results, aside from a run to the semi-finals in Dubai.
Halys leads the ATP head-to-head 2-0, and 4-2 when including qualifiers and Challenger events. However, they have not faced each other for nearly three years and Popyrin is now the superior player of the two. He is likely to make it through.
Alexei Popyrin vs Quentin Halys tip: Alexei Popyrin to win 2-0
