Alexei Popyrin vs Cameron Norrie prediction

Alexei Popyrin will have to take down another Brit if he’s to reach the last four in Geneva. 

The Aussie fifth seed ended Jacob Fearnley’s hopes with a routine 6-4 6-3 success and must now take on qualifier Cameron Norrie.

British number three Norrie dodged past third seed Tomas Machac after the Czech retired as he trailed 6-3 2-6 3-4 in the third set. 

Norrie does lead the match-up with Popyrin 1-0, but that was a straight sets win in Atlanta way back in 2019. 

Popyrin has a losing 3-4 record against lefties if you are looking for reasons to take a punt on an improving Norrie, but the Aussie should have too much power and athleticism for the Brit this time around.
