Alexander Zverev will face Novak Djokovic for the first time as a Grand Slam champion after easing past Juncheng Shang.

The top seed powered to a 6-0 6-3 success over the Chinese underdog to set up a mouthwatering 15th career meeting with the 24-time Major winner.

Djokovic once again overcame physical issues to claw his way to a 4-6 7-6 6-2 triumph over Yunchaokete Bu, but his incredible 31-0 record at the event will come under serious threat in this quarter-final showdown.

Djoker leads the match-up 9-5 but his fitness issues cannot be ignored and neither can his less than imperious form for the majority of this season.

In contrast, Zverev has recently won two Grand Slams, been key to a Laver Cup triumph and now has his sights sets on world number one.
