Alexander Zverev vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction
Top seed Alexander Zverev got his Mexican Open campaign up and running with a straight sets win over Corentin Moutet. The German had not featured for nearly a month following his Australian Open semi-final defeat, but he showed no signs of rust as he produced a first serve percentage of 79% and didn’t even face a break point on his way to winning 6-2 6-4.
The 2021 champion now faces Miomir Kecmanovic for a place in the last eight. The Serb comfortably got past Tristan Schoolkate in straight sets to advance. Kecmanovic saved all four break points that he offered up as he won 6-2 6-2 after just an hour and three minutes.
Zverev leads the head-to-head 2-1. If he serves as well as he did against Moutet, Kecamanovic will find it difficult to create opportunities. The world number four is now the clear favourite for the title following Alex de Minaur’s surprise exit, and he’ll be expected to win this in straight sets.
Alexander Zverev vs Miomir Kecmanovic tip: Alexander Zverev to win 2-0
