Alexander Zverev vs Corentin Moutet prediction
Alexander Zverev makes his return to the tour, having not featured since the Australian Open. Zverev looked on course for a second successive final in Melbourne as he came from two sets down to serve for the match against Carlos Alcaraz, but the Spaniard fought back to win their dramatic semi-final. The world number four won this event in 2021.
Corentin Moutet competed at the Delray Beach Open last week, but he lost in round one against Tommy Paul, despite taking the first set. That was his first event since the Australian Open, which saw him make the third-round before a defeat to Alcaraz.
Zverev leads the head-to-head 2-0 after their first two meetings last year. The German comfortably defeated Moutet in Stuttgart but their last match in Beijing was a closer encounter, with Zverev winning in three sets. This is a testing start for the three-time Grand Slam finalist, but he should find a way to get through in straight sets.
Alexander Zverev vs Corentin Moutet tip: Alexander Zverev to win 2-0
