Alexander Zverev vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction

Alexander Zverev has been in sparkling form in Italy so far this week and the world #2 is playing with great confidence right now. The 27 year old German have picked up straight sets wins over Andrey Rublev and then Casper Ruud and he will know that barring an unlikely set of results on Friday, he should be in the semi-finals.

He now meets Carlos Alcaraz who has been under the weather this week and struggling with illness. After losing his opening match to Ruud, he showed great character in beating Rublev on Wednesday.

The big question coming into this match his what condition Alcaraz is in physically especially when facing the in-form Zverev.

The pair have played 10 times before and have each won five matches apiece. Alcaraz has won two of those matches in 2024 with Zverev winning the other one, and there really is very little between the two players.

If Alcaraz is not 100%, it is hard to make a case for him winning this game based on how well Zverev is playing. The German Is ending the season in sparkling form and is one of the few players who looks like he is full of energy still. While Alcaraz did well to overcome his troubles and beat Rublev, we do not think that will be enough against Zverev.

Alexander Zverev vs Carlos Alcaraz Tip: Alexander Zverev to win
