Alexander Shevchenko vs Reilly Opelka prediction
Alexander Shevchenko only featured in one grass court tournament leading up to Wimbledon and failed to advance from qualifying for the Mallorca Championships. He has never made it past the first-round of this major on two previous attempts and has only one win on grass in his whole career.
Reilly Opelka began his grass court season with five straight victories, including a quarter-final win over former world number one Daniil Medvedev, as he made a run from qualifying to the semi-finals of the Libema Open. The big serving American has struggled to keep up that fine form in the other two warmup events on grass, losing in the second-round of both Queen’s and Eastbourne.
This will be their first meeting on grass but they have played once before, and it occurred in February of this year with Opelka defeating Shevchenko 7-6 6-4 in the first-round of the Dallas Open. Opelka is good value to win this one too.
