Alexander Shevchenko vs Dominic Stricker prediction
Alexander Shevchenko ended a run of three matches without a win as he came from a set down to beat Alexandre Muller in the first-round of the Swiss Open. The Kazakhstani was not broken in sets two or three as he won 3-6 6-3 6-4 after exactly two hours. He also fired down 13 aces and won 81% of his points on first serve.
He will now face Dominic Stricker after he pulled off an upset in round one by beating Jaume Munar in straight sets. He comfortably took the first set, but Munar did go a break up in the second as he attempted to mount a comeback. However, the Swiss player quickly responded and closed it out to win 6-2 6-4.
Shevchenko deserves to be a slight favourite on clay, but Stricker has enough firepower to keep the sets close. Ultimately though, this is a match that Shevchenko will be expected to win.
