Alexander Bublik vs Daniil Medvedev prediction
Alexander Bublik continued his impressive week at Halle as he came from a set down to defeat Karen Khachanov in their semi-final match and keep alive his hopes of a second title at the event.
Daniil Medvedev will be his opponent in the final after the former world number one edged out Alexander Zverev in a close semi-final. It was another strong serving performance from Medvedev as he hammered down 17 aces on his way to a 7-6 6-7 6-4 win.
The head-to-head is 6-0 in Medvedev’s favour. Their last match took place last year in Madrid, with the Russian defeating Bublik 7-6 6-4 in the fourth-round. Crucially though, this will be their first match against each other on grass.
Bublik has enjoyed a phenomenal tournament so far and now has eight wins from his last nine matches. Though he has struggled against Medvedev in the past, he’s very difficult to beat on grass and has the capability to win this one.
