Alexander Blockx made it three from three in the group stage as he beat Dino Prizmic in four sets. The young Belgian was already assured of his place in the semi-finals before this match but that did not stop him, as he won 4-3 (4) 2-4 4-2 4-0 after an hour and 34 minutes.
He takes on Nicolai Budkov Kjaer for a place in the final. The Norwegian advanced despite losing his final match in the group stage to Learner Tien. Budkov Kjaer had won his first two matches and took the first set here, but Tien came back to win 3-4 (2) 4-1 4-2 4-2.
They have both spent a similar amount of time on court, but Budkov Kjaer looked to be struggling towards the end in his defeat to Tien. Blockx has been the most impressive player so far this week, and he’ll be confident of another victory in order to make the final.
