Alex Michelsen vs Learner Tien prediction
Alex Michelsen impressed last time out as he came from a set down to beat third seed Lorenzo Musetti. He’s into the fourth-round of a Masters tournament for the first time in his career. Musetti looked to have found the advantage as he went a break up in the decider early on, but Michelsen responded superbly to take two breaks of his own and win. He saved 10 out of 12 break point opportunities and won 79% of his points on first serve.
Learner Tien registered his second win of the year against Reilly Opelka to make the last 16. The big serving Opelka won nearly all of his first serve points, but Tien capitalised on his second serve to win 7-6 6-3. The 19-year-old has won five of his last six matches.
The head-to-head is 1-0 in favour of Michelsen on the ATP Tour, having beaten Tien in Houston earlier this year. However, this will be their first tour-level match on a hard court and Tien did win their Next Gen finals encounter at the end of last year. These two both have very promising futures, and we expect a tight match.
Alex Michelsen vs Learner Tien tip: Both players to win a set
