Alex Michelsen vs Jesper de Jong prediction
Alex Michelsen reached the third round of another ATP 1000 event earlier this month, beating both Jan-Lennard Struff and then Francisco Cerundolo before losing in three sets to eventual quarter-finalist Daniel Merida at the Montreal Open.
Jesper de Jong has not played since losing to Timofey Skatov, of Kazakhstan, in three sets at Estoril in an ATP 250 event. De Jong managed to make it past Rinky Hijikata in the first round at Wimbledon prior to that, before losing in straight sets to Joao Fonseca.
De Jong, who won the Cattolica Challenger event in June, has enjoyed a decent year but Michelsen showed some good form in Canada and should be favoured here.
