Alex Michelsen will hope a strong run in Cincinnati will see him break past the top 30 barrier. 

The world number 34 reached a career-high last month and arrives here on the back of a positive run to the last eight in Toronto. 

The American will now face Corentin Moutet for the second time at tour-level after the Frenchman defeated Mackenzie McDonald 7-5 6-3.

The world number 46 is also operating at a career-high after reaching the final in Mallorca and surging to the last four as a lucky loser in Washington. 

Moutet will fancy his chances here as he beat Michelsen in the last four in Mallorca recently and also prevailed in qualifying for Monte Carlo last year; each time the French star did not drop a set. 

We think it could be a similar story here but the American 28th seed is also in good form and it may well go three this time around.
