Alex Michelsen vs Brandon Holt prediction

Alex Michelsen will have his eyes on a second straight quarter-final on grass when he meets his compatriot Brandon Holt.

The third seed progressed to the last eight in Halle and also reached that stage in Mallorca last year, demonstrating how his powerful game fits nicely on the turf.

The 20-year-old meets 27-year-old qualifier Holt for the first time after the world number 101 came from behind to upset Benjamin Bonzi.

Holt did make the last four of the Birmingham Challenger recently but is otherwise inexperienced when it comes to tour-level matches on this surface.

With bragging rights on the line he may well make this very difficult for Michelsen, who we expect to win, but he may have to do it via the long route.
