Alex Michelsen vs Benjamin Bonzi Prediction

Alex Michelsen has made it to the final in three ATP Tour tournaments in the last 18 months but has lost all three. The 20-year-old American will see this as a golden opportunity to go all the way for the first time this week.

He has come through some really tough matches to reach the semi-finals with his latest battle coming against Yunchaokete Bu on Thursday night. He lost the first set on a tiebreak but then fought back and won the second and third.

He will now aim to reach the final but first he has to get past France’s Benjamin Bonzi.

Bonzi has had an incredible week winning five matches to reach this stage and he has beaten some established names. After beating Roberto Bautista Agut and Casper Ruud, he then beat compatriot Quentin Halys on Thursday in the quarters in straight sets. In fact, he has yet to drop a set all week.

Michelsen is playing some good tennis this week so clearly something has to give.

It would be some feat for Bonzi to get to the final this week but we just think he will run out of steam. Michelsen is the fresher of the two players having only played three matches and we like his chances in this one.

Alex Michelsen vs Benjamin Bonzi Tip: Alex Michelsen to win
