His season began strongly after a quarter-final run at the Australian Open and a title in Rotterdam, but De Minaur has lacked his usual consistency in the months that have followed. He is the defending champion at this event, having defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a thrilling final last year.
He faces Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first-round.
