Alex de Minaur vs Reilly Opelka prediction

An in-form Alex de Minaur enters the fray in Cincinnati ready to tackle the challenge of Reilly Opelka’s heavyweight serve.

The American saw off Hugo Dellien 7-5 7-6 and is a tough obstacle to bypass if his serving mojo is flowing. 

However, it has not been the case in the past in this match-up with Demon leading the head-to-head 5-0.

Their sixth clash is their first in three years and although Opelka is making strong moves up the rankings, de Minaur has won eight of his last nine matches, including a title triumph in Washington.

Opelka’s best hope is for that first serve to fire, but de Minaur’s rapid defensive skills are likely to earn him opportunities on the return and as a result, we can’t see the sixth seed coming unstuck in this one.
