Alex de Minaur dropped his first set of the tournament but still advanced to the round-of-16 at Wimbledon for the third straight year following a win over Zachary Svajda. De Minaur created 18 break point opportunities in total as he completed a 6-2 5-7 6-2 6-4 win after two hours and 41 minutes.
He will now face Roland Garros finalist Flavio Cobolli for a place in the quarter-finals. Cobolli recovered from a nightmare start to win in five sets against Karen Khachanov.
