Alex de Minaur vs Filip Misolic prediction

Alex de Minaur will aim to play the villain once again as he faces another home hope in Vienna.

The third seed crushed Austrian wildcard Jurij Rodionov 6-4 6-1 first time out and will go up against his compatriot Filip Misolic for a spot in the last eight. 

Misolic upset Camilo Ugo Carabelli 7-5 7-6 to earn a first ever shot at the Aussie world number seven, but the wildcard will need the performance of his career to-date to down Demon. 

De Minaur has been supremely consistent this year and does most things much better than the world number 95. 

Misolic will have to serve exceptionally well to have any chance, but it’s unlikely he’ll have the consistency throughout to truly trouble a top ten opponent despite the support of the home crowd.
