Alex de Minaur vs Adrian Mannarino prediction

Alex de Minaur defeated Roman Andres Burruchaga in straight sets to book his place into round two at Wimbledon. The Australian did go 3-0 down at the start of the match but quickly responded as he broke back and won a tiebreak to take the lead. De Minaur then dominated, winning 11 of the next 12 games to seal a 7-6 (5) 6-1 6-0 win. He reached the final of the Libema Open earlier this month.

He will face Adrian Mannarino after the veteran swept aside Titouan Droguet. The Frenchman did not face a break point and won 91% of his first serve points as he claimed a 6-2 6-4 6-1 win after just an hour and 33 minutes.

De Minaur leads the head-to-head 5-1 and 2-1 on grass, but this will be their first match at Wimbledon. They played against each other just a few weeks ago in the quarter-finals of the Libema Open, with the world number six easily winning 6-4 6-0. Mannarino is still an awkward player on grass with his flat and compact strokes and should be able to make this a more competitive match.
